March 11, 2006

German metallers DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER have announced plans for three new releases during the coming months. On May 26 they will be issuing a new CD-single, entitled "Friede Sei Mit Dir" ("Peace May Be with You"),which will contain four new tracks (including a cover version of THE BLUES BROTHERS' "Ghostriders in the Sky"). On the same day, a DVD — also named "Friede Sei Mit Dir" — will be released. The set will include the video for "Friede Sei Mit Dir"; the complete concert the band played at the Summer Breeze open-air festival in 2005 in front of 15,000 maniacs; rare, unreleased videos and a studio report on the group's upcoming album, "Riders on the Storm". "Riders on the Storm" will be released on August 25 via Nuclear Blast Records.

In other news, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER have been confirmed as the support band for the German medieval rockers IN EXTREMO on their spring shows. After a bunch of summer festival appearances, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER will embark on their third headlinining tour, dubbed "Riders on the Storm", beginning in September.
